Retreat FAQ's
How do I book?
Booking can be made
Can I pay monthly?
Yes! We aim to make our retreats as financially accessible as possible and know that offering payment plans helps with this in addition to us offering our retreats non profit.
For April 2025 retreat bookings where deposit only is paid on booking, we then ask that you have paid at least half of your balance owed by the end of February 2025. Full amount due 4 weeks before the event date (7th March 2025). Details of have to make future payments sent after booking.
Details of have to make future payments sent after booking.
We recommend you contact us and we can support you in accessing the best payment option for you. Please note, if making a payment via bank transfer or standing over, please state your full name as a reference.
What is included in the price?
All classes, workshops, accommodation and meals are included in the retreat price.
What is not included?
Transport to and from the venue is not included and will need to be arranged by yourself. If there are others on the retreat travelling from the same area, we can support you with looking into ride shares. Treatments or therapies are not included with bookings and can be booked for an additional fee. Additional drinks or snacks can be purchased on site.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
For any bookings cancelled up to 12 weeks before the event, a full refund of any payments will be given, minus the minimum deposit value. Between 8-12 weeks before the event, 50% of the total owed can be refunded. For cancellations made up to 8 weeks before the retreat, refunds will not be possible and the full amount will still be due. Name changes to transfer a booking can can be made free of charge at any time.
We highly advise you to take out travel insurance for your trip and stay to ensure you are compensated should you need to cancel. This would cover cancellations due to health reasons for example, having covid, or if the retreat has to be cancelled for reasons out of our control, such as a lockdown or due to extreme weather.
Do I need to bring equipment along for classes?
All equipment for classes such as yoga mats, bolsters, blocks, straps and blankets will be provided for your use (all blankets will be washed beforehand by the venue). Please bring your yoga mat with you if you prefer. We would also recommend that you bring an eye mask or eye pillow for relaxation based classes. We will have some eye pillows and mats available at the retreat to purchase.
What do I need to bring with me?
Bring comfortable clothing that can be worn for both movement sessions and when more still. There will be evening relaxation or meditation sessions, so warm relaxed clothing for the evenings is recommended. We encourage a relaxed environment.
Other items we recommend for you to bring are; trainers, a waterproof jacket, flip flops/ sandals, sun cream, swimwear, and a refillable water bottle. You may also wish to bring a notebook and/or a journal for reflection. All rooms include luxury linen, towels and natural bathing products (hand soap, shower gel & shampoo).
We will send out more information of what to bring nearer the time as the list can be dependent on the weather and the timetable for each retreat.
Can children attend the retreat?
Unfortunately not this time. We did had a few children at our summer 2024 retreat, mostly our teams's children, but on reflection and taking on board our guests feedback, we have decided to make all future retreats adults only. As a new organisation we are constantly learning and listening to our guests as to what works best for their experience. We really value any feedback in helping us to build retreats which offer our guests what they need to get the most from their retreat with us. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please do email us as team@ubuntuspirit.co.uk as we would love to hear from you.
We do hope to be offering family retreats at some point in the near future if we have enough demand. Please join our mailing list or drop us an email to be kept up to date with all events and updates.
